Man Goes On Multi-Car Burglary Spree In Sterling: Police

A man went on a shopping spree through other people's cars over the weekend in Loudoun County, and authorities released a video of the man in the hopes someone recognizes him.

The break-ins happened on Saturday, June 18, in the neighborhoods of Potomac Run Plaza, Dulles Town Circle, Davenport Drive, Lake Center Plaza, Waterview Plaza, and Atlantic Boulevard, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. The man stole purses, backpacks, and electronics from locked and unlocked vehicles.

In a video of one break-in, the man approaches a car and peeks through the back window before using a tool to punch through the glass. He grabs two bags out of the car and runs away.

It takes him less than 20 seconds. You can watch the video here.

You should also remove valuables from your vehicle at all times.
